Beginners should only attempt this paddle when conditions are benign. On leaving the shore head east following the shoreline to the open water off Surfside Beach. This open water is partly protected but can still become rough in southerly winds. Proceed to entrance to Cullendulla Creek at the southern end on Square Head.
