2.3km 2.3km Big Bend With some luck we can ford the Valentine here. We'll head south past Mawson's Hut and up onto the Kerries Ridge S 167° 0m
2.7km 0.4km Mawson's Hut This is a cattleman's hut from the days before livestock were banned from the National Park >60 years ago. The Mawson for whom it was named is not related to the Antarctic explorer. We will visit the hut to fill in the logbook. SW 204° 0m
6.2km 3.5km Kerries Ridge Great views of Jagungal behind us, Gungartan ahead of us, Grey Mare range to the west and the Main Range extending away to the south west. SSW 183° 0m
11.5km 5.3km Schlink "Hilton" This is a relic of the Snowy Scheme. The hut was the dwelling and surgery of Dr Schlink. SSW 192° 0m
11.8km 0.4km Campsite - day 4 This is Schlink Pass. WSW 234° 0m
